Responsibilities

Caring for the smallest and most fragile lives yields some of the greatest personal and professional rewards. This is what you'll experience when you join the family-centered Nursery Intensive Care Unit (NyICU)(Neonatal ICU) (NICU) at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.

The working environment:

Serving families throughout the southwest, our 72-bed tertiary care NyICU provides care for neonates from age of viability and onwards. From delivery to discharge, we provide a unique continuity of care for these special patients and maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 based on patient acuity.

St. Joseph's is one of 7 national Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP) training centers, providing training to the whole southwest. We offer a wide range of specialty care practices and therapies for neonates including high-frequency jet/oscillator ventilation, nitric oxide, surfactant replacement therapy, ECMO, NAS, neurological work ups and intervention, cardiac, surgical and medical therapies.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Experience:

  • One year recent acute care experience

Licensure:

  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.

  • BLS Certification.

  • NRP and Complete STABLE required within 30 days of employment.

Pay Range

$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
