U-Haul Monitoring Operator in Phoenix, Arizona

Location:

2727 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of America

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers. The U-Haul Alarm Center monitors burglary and fire system in U-Haul stores located across North America twenty-four hours, seven days a week. Our monitoring team has a strong reputation for reliability, quick response times, and courteous service.

Compensation:

  • Starting wage is $14/hr

  • Annual reviews and increases based upon merit.

  • Pay is bi-weekly

Work Hours:

  • Available Shift: Wednesday-Sunday from 4:00pm-12:30am (off Monday and Tuesday)

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays

  • Training is provided to ensure every member of our team succeeds.

Operator Responsibilities

  • The safety of our team members, customers, and property are our priority

  • Taking charge of the alarm signals such as; burglary, fire, and panic/hold-up signals

  • Responding to and handling customer concerns and inquiries

  • Communicating with emergency services when assistance is necessary

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in a professional corporate environment

  • Dependable and responsible

  • Confident in using a computer

  • Can remain calm and focused in urgent situations

  • Have no criminal record

  • Do not abuse drugs or alcohol

  • Customer service experience desirable

Education/Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

    Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
