Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

Join our team as a Medical Assistant, where you will provide a basic level of patient care and treatments. Your responsibilities will include assisting with obtaining vital signs, documenting the chief complaint and all actions taken, and alerting physicians of any problems, concerns, or abnormalities. You will also assist with obtaining patient history, support physicians, residents, and/or licensed nursing personnel, and set up exam/procedure rooms, including instruments for minor procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for obtaining lab specimens, accurately completing requisitions, and obtaining authorization for referrals in smaller clinics. This role also encompasses front desk duties such as registration, check-in, and scheduling of patients.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Phoenix, Arizona.

Work Environment

Clinic environment within an ortho practice. Work hours are Monday-Friday with a start time of 7:30 AM. Monday-Thursday will be either 9 hours or 8 hours depending on the doctor's presence, and Friday will be either 7:30-1 PM or 11:30-5 PM. There are 14 MAs on site.
