Our client, an electronics manufacturer is seeking a contract to direct hire Mechanical Engineer to join their team - direct hire conversion is anticipated later this year. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing on sustaining engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong customer interfacing skills, mechanical engineering experience in electronics manufacturing and a process/sustaining engineering background which will align successfully in this smaller division of a global organization where employees get to learn and work in all phases of the product lifecycle. Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Pay Range: $40-$50/hr

What’s the Job?

• To support the production manager in sustaining engineering and production engineering activities for the engineering and manufacturing teams

• Will do reporting, presentations and client interfacing on products

• Will support and assist with product troubleshooting and testing and must be hands-on engineer able to work on the production floor

• Must be willing to travel occasionally for customer presentations or product support

What’s Needed?

• BS degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering preferred or Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

• 3+ years' experience in mechanical engineering including design,manufacturing (process or sustaining engineering activity background) and testing of electronics or semiconductor products required

• Solidworks or similar, strong MS Office including Excel and Powerpoint and good computer literacy required

• Must be process-driven and know how a device is built and tested

• Strong experience working with internal and external clients
