The Role

The Lead Compensation System Analyst's primary responsibility is to establish realistic and achievable sales quotas within the company business rules. The Lead Compensation System Analyst will oversee the quota setting process, analyze sales data, and provide insights that inform decision-making within the sales organization.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze detailed quota plans based on historical sales data, market trends, and business goals.

  • Collaborating with sales leadership to align quotas with overall company objectives.

  • Ensuring that quotas are fair, attainable, and motivating for the sales team.

  • Adjusting quotas as necessary to reflect changes in market conditions or business strategy.

  • Documenting and communicating quota policies and procedures to relevant stakeholders.

  • Collecting and analyzing sales data to monitor performance against quotas.

  • Identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales data.

  • Generating regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into sales performance.

  • Presenting insights and recommendations to sales leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Utilizing advanced analytical tools and techniques to enhance the accuracy of forecasts and quota models.

  • Evaluating the impact of various scenarios on sales performance and quota attainment.

  • Supporting the development of long-term sales strategies to achieve growth targets.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Typical relevant experience 3-5+ years

  • Ability to design and implement solutions to more efficiently manage and process sales compensation

  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex business data and systems issues

  • Willingness to support production activities and perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot commission issues

  • Provide business expertise for functional areas assigned within sales compensation system

  • Ability to work independently to complete projects in a timely manner from a remote location

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Anaplan software.

  • The ability to create detailed reports and dashboards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address data-related issues.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations.

  • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships

  • Strong presentation skills to effectively convey complex data to non-technical audiences

  • A deep understanding of the business and its objectives

  • The ability to align quota plans with business strategy and goals

  • An understanding of sales processes and methodologies

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$80510 - $107340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$84740 - $112980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$88980 - $118630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$93210 - $124280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
