Responsibilities

The division of hematology at Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a Hematologist with expertise in amyloidosis to join our practice. The Division is looking for a physician-scientist with a strong interest in helping to grow and lead our multi-disciplinary amyloidosis practice that serves our local and greater community. The Myeloma, Amyloidosis, and Dysproteinemia Disease Working Group in Arizona currently includes five hematologists focused specifically on myeloma, amyloidosis, and related plasma cell disorders, alongside two cardiologists, three nephrologists, one neurologist, a genetic counselor, and two care coordinators. In addition, they work with other members at Mayo in Minnesota and Florida to comprise a group of over 20 physicians and scientists that form the leading myeloma and amyloidosis research group in the world.

The ideal candidate will possess a promising track record as a clinician and researcher in amyloidosis. This track record would ideally document clear activity in publications, clinical trials and/or translational research, and professional societies. Someone earlier in the career at the level of Assistant Professor, or recent Associate Professor would be ideally suited for this position. The position will require active and significant participation in administrative, clinical, and research duties.

Qualifications

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and eligible for licensure in the state of Arizona.
