This role will coordinate the running of the largest Customer Remediation program at American Express. As part of the Enterprise Platforms organization in American Express Technology, Global Loyalty & Benefits (GLB) supports and manages over 300 Cardholder impacting issues each year.

With over 50 engineers focused on ensuring that impacted customers are made whole within the Regulatory-mandated timelines, the successful running of this program contributes significantly to the Control Rating of the Company.

Specifically, the Assoc-Digital Portfolio Mgmt will be responsible for the oversight of the program and coordinating across multiple teams to meet Regulatory timelines.

This role will build relationships with leaders across Technology, Compliance, Operational Excellence, and Risk Management. In Compliance Issue Management, every day brings a new opportunity.

The successful candidate will:

  • Interface regularly with Directors and Vice Presidents across Global Loyalty and Benefits

  • Assist in the development and ongoing enhancement to the program strategy for Compliance Issue Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for Global Loyalty and Benefits in various Risk and Compliance forums

  • Possess the ability to build partnerships across Business lines and Technology

  • Facilitate regular meetings with the GLB leadership team to review all issues with at-risk milestones

  • Oversee and help maintain the team’s Confluence pages and work across the multiple VP teams to ensure relevant updated and new content is published on a regular basis

  • Provide regular readouts and reporting to individual VP teams which highlight status and emerging trends

  • Track and execute key executive-level deliverables

Minimum Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of project management and organization skills. Project Management Professional (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification highly desired

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with active prioritization, dependable follow-up, and high attention to detail

  • Integrity and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including distilling information into salient points and communicating objectives

  • Comfort with ambiguity, influencing teams, and identifying different paths to solutions effectively and efficiently

  • Skilled management of relationships and influence without authority -- this role works with a wide range of people at various levels of the organization

  • A sense of humor, patience, and flexibility

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Confluence, Jive, and SharePoint a plus

  • 3-5 years professional experience, preference for candidates with direct experience partnering with Sr. Leadership

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
