To support our operations, we are looking for a skilled and mechanically inclined Assistant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.

Job Overview: The Assistant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and facilities within our manufacturing plant. This includes working on forklifts, MIG welders, plasma cutters, band saws, swamp coolers, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the equipment mentioned above and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventive Maintenance:\ Conduct regular preventive maintenance on forklifts, MIG welders, plasma cutters, band saws, swamp coolers, and other equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
• Equipment Repairs:\ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on the equipment, minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
• Facility Maintenance:\ Perform routine maintenance tasks around the facility, including minor repairs, installations, and general upkeep.
• Safety Compliance:\ Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
• Documentation:\ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
• Support Lead Mechanic:\ Assist the Lead Maintenance Mechanic with more complex repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience:\ Proven experience in maintaining and repairing forklifts, MIG welders, plasma cutters, band saws, and swamp coolers.
• Mechanical Aptitude:\ Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment.
• Attention to Detail:\ Ability to perform detailed inspections and ensure that maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Problem-Solving Skills:\ Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Team Player:\ Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively.
• Physical Ability:\ Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy components and working in various positions.
