Job Title: Aerospace Assembler (Weekend Shift)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Assembler for our weekend shift. The role involves working on-site at Honeywell near the Sky Harbor Airport, where you will complete the assembly of engine cowlings and sheet metal components. You will be working with blueprints and SOPs, utilizing power tools, hand tools, drills, and torque to assemble parts. Additionally, you will perform electric bond checks and ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete assembly of engine cowlings and sheet metal components.

• Read and interpret blueprints and SOPs.

• Use power tools, hand tools, drills, and torque to assemble parts.

• Perform electric bond checks.

• Understand Honeywell specifications (preferred but not required).

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in an aerospace environment (highly preferred but not required).

• 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience.

• Experience with large parts.

• Basic quality verification practices (torque settings, electrical bond checks, dimensional measurements, etc.).

• Ability to follow all health and safety guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or other industries is acceptable.

• Experience with commercial or military aircraft engines is a huge plus.

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles.

You will have the possibility of earning an additional $0.50 to $1.00 per hour when brought on permanently. There are 2-10 hours of overtime available, with double time for hours worked on Sundays. Work Environment

You will be working in an aerospace manufacturing environment on-site at Honeywell near the Sky Harbor Airport. The team is very tight-knit and follows Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles. Hours for the weekend shift are 2:15pm-11:45pm, Thursday-Sunday. Candidates must be able to train on days for a couple of weeks if they are assigned to the 2nd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
