Honeywell Advanced Avionics Systems Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

As an Advanced Avionics Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced flight control systems for aircraft. You will conduct system-level analysis and optimization to improve performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems, and test and validate flight control systems to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues related to flight control systems.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid] work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development and advancement of avionics technology, contributing to the safety and efficiency of flight control systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop advanced flight control systems for aircraft

• Conduct system-level analysis and optimization to improve performance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems

• Test and validate flight control systems to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards

• Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues related to flight control systems

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, science, or technology

• 4 years of experience working on Flight Controls, or other Avionics or engineering program s

• Past Flight Controls or avionics experience and knowledge

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Ability to identify problems and significantly improve or change existing methods and techniques

• Effective communication skills
