With the support of the community, Hospice of the Valley’s Dementia Care and Education Campus is an innovative and comprehensive resource for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Campus will provide full-spectrum care for persons living with all stages of dementia and support for their families. A 12-person Assisted Living Center, a 10-person Hospice Inpatient Care Home, an Adult Day Center, and a Child Center will provide superb and creative person-centered care, and a Community Education Center will educate and inspire physicians, nurses, social workers, caregivers, families, and the community to improve quality of life for persons living with dementia.

Position Profile

This person will provide administrative coordination for the Adult Day Club, including welcoming members and families; overseeing registration, attendance, and billing; ensuring adequate documentation of services; coordinating staff compliance with licensing requirements; gathering and tracking data and producing reports; coordinating meetings; and serving as an ADC care staff member providing supervision, engagement, and care of members.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality administrative support.

  • Serves as engagement partner to Adult Day Club members as directed by manager.

  • Maintains and enhances professional skills.

  • Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-years of administrative support experience.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience engaging persons living with dementia in activities.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience coordinating volunteers in a health care setting.

  • Must possess excellent human relation skills; ability to meet people with ease; ability to represent HOV well by phone and in person.

  • Ability to make decisions based upon information provided from different sources.

  • Critical thinking necessary for complex situations.

  • CPR certified, fingerprinting and TB.

  • Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience providing direct care for persons living with dementia preferred.

  • Bilingual skills a plus.
