Company Description
McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products. As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater. Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items. Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3" to 24" in diameter.
Job Description- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless transition for new and departing employees.
- Assist in the execution of HR programs and initiatives, such as training sessions, employee engagement activities, and performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, guaranteeing adhering with legal requirements and company policies.
- Handle personnel files, including new hire or exit checklists, document sorting, and I-9 management.
- Liaise with various departments to coordinate HR-related activities and disseminate relevant information.
- Collaborate with HR Manager and HR Generalist to ensure effective completion of new hire checklists.
- Use the Brivo system for on-site user security, assigning gate key cards, and handling employee time clock fobs.
- Manage vacation/time-off requests, maintain annual calendars, and accurately enter time in the UKG system.
- Create and track disciplinary letters, updating a spreadsheet with steps in the disciplinary process.
- Update HR boards in the plant with work schedules, law updates, and special notices.
- Respond to Verification of Employment (VOE) and Income Verifications.
- Process tool reimbursements.
- Assist in new hire orientations, including documentation review and HR board updates.
- Retrieve personnel files and I-9s when an employee terminates.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Exposure to Labor Law and employment laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in computer software applications.
- Associate degree or equivalent degree preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
