Job Summary The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University is looking to hire a full-time Women in Natural Sciences (WINS) Alumnae Relations Manager to establish the first-ever WINS Alumnae Network. This position will join the Advancement Division and provide integral support to the WINS team. This position will manage the development, execution, direction, and coordination of all WINS Alumnae engagements including events, alumnae relations, and communications. This position will also oversee and manage initial recruitment efforts to the Network and enhance Alumnae records in the existing CRM database, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of Alumnae and other Network members' data. The Alumnae Manager will also work in close partnership with both marketing and development to implement strategies that broaden awareness of the WINS program among key audiences and deepen engagement and fundraising efforts from existing supporters and new donors. This position reports to the Executive Director of Development. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. About WINS: In 1982, the Academy responded to a nationwide need for science enrichment opportunities for young women with the launch of Women In Natural Sciences (WINS) - a science education program for 9th grade girls from Philadelphia. In its early years, WINS was a summer-only program aiming to foster a love of science and connections to peers amongst participants. Over the past four decades, WINS has transformed into a nationally recognized STEM education, mentorship, and workforce preparation program serving young Philadelphia women in grades 9 - 12, as well as graduates of the program during their years pursuing a college or industry specific degree. Essential Functions Manage WINS Alumnae Network Establish and manage an alumnae cultivation and stewardship plan that deepens connections between WINS alumnae and the Academy through consistent communications, event invitations, committee placements, and other engagement activities. Leveraging the Academy's existing Trustee cultivation process, work alongside the Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director of Development, to recruit the WINS Alumnae Network Committee Chair. Recruit members to the WINS Alumnae Committee, build meaningful relationships with class representatives, manage, and facilitate Committee meetings and planning/succession efforts in partnership with the Committee Chair. Serve as a resource for professional development opportunities, including participation of alumnae at industry conferences, speaking engagements, panels, and other public engagement opportunities. Oversee the WINS Network membership, including assisting with recruitment, managing communications, and event strategies, and the annual renewal cycle. Implement and maintain a robust alumnae database, within the Academy's current CRM, that supports the broader cultivation and stewardship plans for the WINS Alumnae Network. Coordinate and liaison with Drexel University Alumni Relations Unit to enhance program activities and recruitment efforts. Support WINS Program Develop ongoing engagement opportunities for the WINS program, using a comprehensive approach, that integrates the Academy, its Board of Trustees, and current WINS Alumna. In partnership with Marketing and Development, create a communications strategy that broadens awareness of WINS among key audiences and increases engagement and donations from existing and new supporters. Partner with the WINS manager and coordinators, Alumnae Committee, Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager, and WINS corporate supporters to grow internship and co-op opportunities for WINS students. Participate in WINS program activities such as workshops and field trips. Required Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Minimum of Three to five years of work experience in fundraising in a development program, student affairs, alumni relations, membership, or a related field. Passion for the mission of WINS and the Academy's desire to inspire everyone to be a Force for Nature. Demonstrated success in overseeing an annual giving program or related program. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex information and present materials in a clear manner to a variety of audiences. Experience recruiting and managing volunteers required. An ability to network and build alliances. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve a common goal. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications WINS Alumna preferred or similar out of school program Alumni. Event planning experience preferred. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and data management, such as Altru, Advance, or Raiser's Edge. Physical Requirements Typically sitting at a desk/table. Location Center City, Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This position is classified as Exempt, grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from $47,490.00to  $ 71,230.00 Per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
