DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:\ Arcadis is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Industrial Process Solutions team as a \"seller/doer\" (25%/75%). As a Senior Project Engineer, you will utilize your technical knowledge, communication abilities, and leadership skills to drive and develop water efficiency solutions for industrial clients in the region and nationally. This position is remote and can be performed anywhere in the United States.

Role description:\ As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead interdisciplinary Industrial Infrastructure teams to identify and develop high-quality and holistic water efficiency, design, regulatory, and sustainability projects to our clients. You will participate in and lead teams through industrial water and wastewater feasibility studies and designs. Projects will include traditional water/wastewater projects as well as water conservation and recycle-focused projects.

Role accountabilities:\ * Managing all aspects of water sustainability, water efficiency, water/wastewater design, and regulatory projects; including project planning, budgeting, schedule monitoring, and managing project controls\ * Process design for industrial wastewater and or reuse/recycle systems\ * Preparing engineering proposals, including the development of scopes of work, and assembling fee estimates and schedules\ * Reviewing and assisting with the development of industrial water treatment and conservation concepts, design calculations, and technical reports\ * Leading client meetings, preparing teams for client meetings, and documenting meeting outcomes\ * Managing conflicts inherent in engineering design projects, including balancing the demands of scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements as well as multiple stakeholders\ * Researching feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications\ * Developing plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents\ * Working effectively and collaboratively in team situations and establishing strong relationships with other teams where the overlap of client project work exists\ * Mentoring junior level staff in design and client management\ * Traveling, sometimes on an extended basis, as needed

Qualifications & Experience:\ Key Attributes:\ * Can work well with different project teams present locally and across remote offices without direct supervision.\ * Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors, funding agencies, and reviewing agencies; to deliver technical presentations in conferences and technical symposia.\ * Ability to diagnose complex industrial water and/or wastewater challenges and develop viable remedies / solutions\ * Strong written and oral communication skills.\ * Functional experience with MS Office applications.\ * Self-motivated.\ * Ability to mentor staff.

Required Qualifications\ * Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study\ * 10+ years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience\ * Industrial water / wastewater experience in one (or more) the following technical areas: (a.) biological treatment, (b.) zero liquid discharge, (c.) brine management (including thermal evaporation and crystallization), (c.) detailed design, (d.) in-plant water use optimization (i.e., reduce/reuse/recycle).\ * Industrial water / wastewater experience for one (or more) the following sectors: (a.) Oil and Gas (e.g., refineries, renewable fuels), (b.) Chemical, (d.) Life Science (i.e., Pharma), (c.) Food and Beverage, and (d.) Pulp and Paper.\ License: PE license

Preferred Qualifications\ * Master of Science or PhD Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engi eering or related field of study\ * Experience with industrial wastewater, facility infrastructure design, and other industrial planning, design, and construction engineering activities\ * Strong communication skills, both oral and written; skills to include - public speaking, ability to communicate effectively as part of a team, preparation/development of technical documents, and prior client involvement\ * Experience with water use and wastewater generation within industrial operations\ * Experience with industrial wastewater, facility infrastructure design and other industrial planning, design, and construction engineering activities\ * Experience with AutoCAD, BIM 360, and/or Primavera scheduling software

This position is eligible for participating in a company bonus program. The salary range for this position is \$79,000 - \$150,000.
