Overview
We’re searching for a Vice President Group Director, Engineering Lead / Enterprise Architect to both lead our growing Platform Services Engineering team and help support complex client engagements and lead the development and delivery of marketing technology platform and application solutions. The Vice President Group Director, Engineering Lead / Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust MarTech solutions that align with client business strategies and goals. This role requires a deep understanding of both pharmaceutical industry requirements and advanced marketing technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. You’ll define and promote technical best practices, standards and technical strategies within your engineering teams. These services include platform and tool recommendations, full-stack software/platform development, data engineering, and managed services.
As a key leader, you will partner with highly talented individuals across Digital Strategy, User Experience, Marketing, Media, Data and Analytics, and Creative to deliver transformative success for our clients. You will also be responsible for the career management for technical architecture and engineering team members, as well as shaping the culture of the technology team.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap for client MarTech initiatives
Collaborate with client senior management to align technology solutions with business objectives
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance MarTech solutions
Strategic planning, coordination and oversight for marketing technology platform delivery within client engagements
Lead a cross-agency team of solution architects, technology experts and engineers (on-shore and off-shore) within the client engagement, including setting policies, processes, standards, and best practices
Establish strong relationships with client IT and Digital Marketing teams
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our MarTech capabilities
Provide leadership and/or guide the implementation and activation of MarTech solutions; identify opportunities and provide recommendations for platform optimization through strong understanding of product roadmaps in correlation to client business goals
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
Oversee the integration of MarTech solutions with existing systems and platforms
Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of MarTech solutions
Stay current on emerging technologies, best-practices, and trends
Define and produce central engineering documents
Adhere to functional and technical requirements
Be well-versed in all phases of software engineering and all methodologies for project utilization, including Agile
Mentor designated architects, engineers and develop the team’s technical skills
Work with other capabilities to provide technical direction and efficiency
Propose and support incorporation of new technologies and tools
Prototype new ideas/products for applicability to project goals
Participate in new business pitches
Review and evaluate technical partnerships and vendor relationships
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on MarTech solutions
8+ years of experience with leading multidisciplinary technical teams
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketing industry and its regulatory environment (e.g. MLR processes and MLR approval/marketing platforms such as Veeva)
Expertise in marketing technologies such as DXP, CMS, DAM, CRM, CDP, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
Proven experience with cloud-based solutions and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Deep expertise with software development processes and conventions
Expertise with the latest front-end, back-end solutions (e.g. server-side web frameworks, databases, JavaScript frameworks, CSS frameworks, serverless, APIs, Docker, etc)
Experience integrating custom software with 3rd party services via APIs
Experience with standard business software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Box.com, Teams, Sharepoint, Jira, etc
Fammiliarity with industry-specific creative tools Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, or Figma
Expertise with CI/CD for software build automation, automated testing, Git workflows, etc.
Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) best-practices
Adobe, Salesforce and other MarTech platform vendor training and certifications a plus
Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) a plus
Experience with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Experience leading client meetings, presentations, and new business efforts
Experience leading multiple simultaneous projects for multiple clients
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Candidate must be open to travel as needed

Compensation Range: $159,500 - $269,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
