STV Incorporated Summer 2025 - Structural Engineering Intern in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Reference #: JR2856 STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Structural Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months and can work full-time.
Responsibilities: Assist in the design and analysis of bridges and other structures, applying engineering principles and techniques. Support the preparation of design calculations, construction drawings, and technical reports. Participate in the inspection and rating of existing structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and present design information, including organizing and interpreting data. Engage in both office-based tasks and on-site activities, gaining a comprehensive understanding of structural engineering processes. Assist in preparing project documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations. Learn and apply relevant industry standards and best practices in structural design and inspection. Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.
Required: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.
Compensation Range:$40,874.00 - $54,498.00
