As a Staff Account Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Accurately process and record various financial transactions

• Maintain and update accounting, financial, and technical records and databases

• Regularly review accounting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

• Post accounting entries, including general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, revenue, grants & special fund accounting, assets, cash receipts, and payroll

• Analyze and update records and files of expenditures, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and business transactions

• Ensure accurate coding and analysis of special fund transactions

• Review, reconcile, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in entries, transactions, documents, and reports

• Provide assistance to staff and customers with account information and policies

• Prepare and distribute operational and special reports, identifying and researching accounting issues

• Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and financial information.

Requirements

The Ideal Staff Accountant will meet the following Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role

• Demonstrated experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge in managing the General Ledger

• Experience in creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Familiarity with the Month End Close process

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and organizational skills
