ITC Defense Software Tester (Quality Assurance) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Statement of Work

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position: Software Tester (Quality Assurance)

Overview:

ITC is actively seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our team in providing state-of-the-art software solutions to NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. The role involves a strategic approach towards the development and integration of the Navy Community applications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide testing services for the WebRoR, EFTS and SCIP Navy Community applications that include: bug testing, Requirement adherence testing/logical testing, Regression testing, user interface experience testing, data segregation testing, common malicious attack testing such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting.

  • Perform testing and record all testing activity in the tracking software / Version One.

  • Responsible for a detailed Test Plan to be developed during Sprint Planning Meetings.

  • Provides a written test plan for each “story” based on documented software requirements & executes that plan within the Quality Assurance (QA) testing environments.

  • Participate in regular meetings with the team, stakeholders, and other meetings as required.

  • Ensure functional testing tasks are conducted to validate that application software requirements function as intended.

  • Responsible for deliverables such as:

  • Bug, user interface, requirement adherence, data segregation, malicious attack, and regression testing.

  • Documented test plans.

  • Tracking software / Version One updates with testing results.

  • Written notification of testing results that impact deployment schedules.

  • Verbal reports to the team on a daily basis during Scrum meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

  • 1+ year of experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or relevant field.

  • IAT Level II certified or ability to become certified.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

  • Experience with testing software updates for bugs, validity, browser capability, user experience, and adherence to the documented software update/requirement.

  • Experience with full system regression testing.

  • Experience with writing test plans based on documented software requirement.

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, test management tools, databases, and requirement tracking software.
