In this position you will contribute to Comcast’s Smart Network Platform (SNP), the multi-tenant, device and network service lifecycle management platform responsible for automating the management of Comcast’s network to simplify operational activities, drive reduction in total number of outages and mean time to restore (MTTR), and increase network visibility. As a front end developer, you will be a member of the team responsible for the user interface applications developed and maintained by the SNP organization. You will participate in agile (scrum) ceremonies with your team: stand ups, refinement, planning, demos and retrospectives. You will participate in SAFe ceremonies with all teams in SNP: PI Planning Prep, PI Planning, System Demos and Inspect and Adapt. You will refine user stories, create technical requirements and designs, author production, unit test and integration test code, demonstrate at sprint demos, write documentation and perform peer code reviews.
Work with the team to translate UX team wireframes guidance into Views in React
Help manage projects through the design, development and QA.

Oversees testing and develops fixes

Develop new user-facing features
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Participate in code review
Identifying blockers and applying creative solutions within company guidelines
Staying on top of current trends in web development
Analyzes and determines integration needs.
Evaluates and plans software designs, test results and technical manuals.
Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
Programs new software, web applications and supports new applications under development and the customization of current applications.
Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation.
Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.
Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of software development experience
Experience writing front end systems based on RESTful architectures
Experience with JSON
Experience with Node.js
Knowledge of JsonNode
Knowledge of AWS
Experience with Linux, Unix or MacOS
Experience with Git or other modern source code control system
Experience with JIRA
