Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing daily business operations and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures. Ensures internal control The Xfinity Consumer Marketing Growth and Engagement (CMG&E) team is an entrepreneurial, fast growing organization within Comcast with a focus on using data to optimize the consumer experience. The Base Insights and Transformation team within CMG&E team plays a highly collaborative consultative role in this process. The team specializes in analyzing the effectiveness of communication strategies and tests to continuously optimize and offers many opportunities to learn the business and dig into data. The team is looking for a Senior Manager who can leverage Comcast’s abundant data assets to become a trusted partner and solve complex problems. This is a position that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in statistics and testing with the ability to query & summarize data leading to insights that will help shape business strategy. The individual in this role will also need to understand the operations of Comcast’s Marketing Technology stack in order to continue helping support marketing’s long-term vision.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities 

  • Become a subject matter expert in marketing and service communication strategy and operations to continue to help drive our omnichannel 1:1 communication strategy

  • Interpret business objectives and scope them into defined testing plans to appropriately answer stakeholder hypotheses.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop UAT data quality checks.

  • Develop measurement plans for tactics including timelines and KPIs to set up front expectations with partners.

  • Apply appropriate analytical techniques utilizing large data sets to synthesize actionable insights.

  • Manage the prioritization and work of multiple cross functional projects at once.

  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Comcast executives layering in industry and company trends.

  • Work with technology and data science partners to understand their roadmaps to communicate future opportunities to drive results to marketing teams.

  • Develop innovative solutions and processes to improve reporting efficiency.

  • Collaborate with partners throughout Comcast to synthesize various reports into a single source of truth.

  • Proactively look for potential testing opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, “Be Curious.”

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to learn R, Python, and other analytic tools.

  • Skill in identifying data issues and anomalies during analysis.

  • Possess a balance of general business knowledge, analytical acumen, and presentation skills; “tell the story.”

  • Understand statistical and analytical techniques.

  • Experience with A/B testing.  

  • Ability to work independently to find opportunities to enhance processes and drive results.  

  • Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork, while maintaining an environment that is upbeat and fun. 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Understanding of Data Science modelling techniques.

  • Experience developing dashboards in Tableau and Adobe Analytics.

  • Experience in a collaborative team-oriented environment that is highly matrixed.
