Entity : Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP)

Summary : A financial role that will optimize savings and maintain compliance for the UPHS 340B Drug Pricing Program which generates $470M in savings annually. This will be more of an oversight role working directly with the Financial Analyst in order to enhance the 340B knowledge of the team. This role will support and advise technical staff on 340B operations and compliance for all UPHS entities. Provide oversight of entity-specific inventory controls and optimization for over $6M. This position will take a larger role in the monthly financial and budgeting process. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Business Operations and work closely with the Business Manager and Financial Analyst. They will also provide financial analysis to support senior leadership with decision-making and retail pharmacy program growth.
Responsibilities :
Accountable for daily management of all facets of the of 340B Program at HUP, including software maintenance and optimization.
Reconciliation and determination of 340B Retail Patient Eligibility for all HUP Retail Pharmacies.
Responsible to maintain 340B compliance.
Timely and accurate completion of routine analysis.
Participate in routine 340B Auditing at HUP sites.
Daily monitoring of inventory management & purchasing patterns at HUP.
Assists with financial reporting/budgets (preparing monthly journal entries, reconciles and performs analysis within assigned accounts, preparing monthly presentation for Financial Close meetings, work with Department management in development of annual budgets, maintain reports relating to internal and external audits.
Develop procedures to automate operations by using Microsoft Office in order to improve the processes.
3rd Party insurance collections process.
Responsible for management and completion of special projects as assigned.
Providing financial support to Business Manager, Director of Business Operations CAO, CFO and entity leadership.
Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
Education and Equivalent Experience :
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
AND 4+ years' experience (Required)
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to forecast based on management and monitoring of 340B Program.
COMMUNICATION: Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills.
ANALYTICS: Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
PROJECT/CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Experience in developing and presenting analytics reports.
COMMUNICATION: Ability to communicate technical information and ideas.
FINANCE: Ability to analyze and interpret financial data in order to coordinate the preparation of financial records.
FINANCE: Demonstrated financial management skills.
