TRC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Environmental Engineer to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice.  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and will be part of a very skilled team that works closely with Project Managers and other technical leads providing technical support for site investigation, due diligence, groundwater monitoring, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects.

Assist with site background information reviews, data assembly and evaluation, and preparation of investigation work plans and cost estimates. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, geologic data and other data to assist project planning. Assist Project Managers to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements. Provide technical guidance to Project Managers and field staff during implementation of investigations ensuring work plans are followed and technical and quality requirements are met. Prepare and review Site Characterization Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and other technical documents related to site characterization and investigation activities ensuring technical adequacy, quality, and consistent delivery and presentation of information. Prepare and review Feasibility Studies, Remedial Alternatives Analysis Reports, and other documents related to the remedy selection process. Plan and oversee implementation of pre-design investigations to develop/supplement technical data needed for remedy design including pilot studies and bench-scale tests. Self-perform remedial design work (calculations, technical specification and drawing preparation, remedial equipment/component selection, testing, etc.). This includes preparation and review of engineering reports, limited site data summary documents, contract documents, standard specifications, supplemental specifications, design drawings, advertisement and notice to bidders, and cost estimates. Attend and participate in pre-bid meetings, prepare and review addenda to the specifications and drawings, prepare and review responses to technical questions from bidders, and perform technical evaluation of bids. Review contractor submissions during remedial construction and provide written evaluations. Review and respond to information requests during remedial construction. Attend and participate in project meetings. Prepare and review Final Engineering Reports, Construction Completion Reports, and Site Management Plans. Complete remedial system performance and ffectiveness evaluations and provide recommendations and plans for system optimization, if needed.  Oversee implementation system optimization recommendations and plans. Prepare, review, and certify Periodic Review Reports for sites with completed remedies and on-going operation, maintenance and monitoring. Serve as task lead for specific portions of larger assignments and mentor less-experienced engineering staff in the gathering, analysis and correlation of basic engineering data. Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and be responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels. Apply knowledge of regulations, rules, guidelines, field practices and techniques, standard operating procedures, data reduction and evaluation techniques, etc. to work products. Explain and present observations and findings using general understanding of geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. Interact with colleagues, clients, regulators, public, vendors, and subcontractors and follow corporate standards. Qualifications

Professional Engineer license. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering. Master's Degree a plus. Ten plus years of relevant experience in consulting, environmental investigation and remediation, and remedial design, including preparation of remedial design drawings and specifications for public bidding. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Experience with software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Visual MODFLOW, AQTESOLV, etc. is a plus and should be noted. Excellent and demonstrable interpersonal, verbal and written communication, motivation, team building, employee involvement/mentoring, diplomacy, and delegating skills. Willingness and desire to continue to improve and advance technical competencies. Ability and willingness to work independently and/or as a member of a team, including the ability to work on multiple assignments. Strong time-management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines and budgets. OSHA 40-hour training and up-to-date 8-hour refresher; or ability to obtain. Must possess a valid driver's license, transportation and be able to pass a pre-employment motor vehicle records check. Ability to drive, travel and perform work away from home, office, and in outdoor environments for short-term tasks. Successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition.
