Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP Senior Analyst - Pricing & Revenue Management in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R3093 Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an Sr. Analyst, Pricing & Revenue Management. Reports to the Director of Client Value, Pricing & Revenue Management and assists with firmwide pricing arrangements, RFP responses, client profitability analyses, and ad hoc requests under minimal supervision.

This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

Pricing Arrangements

Monitors and manages large Firm-wide arrangements. Including but not limited to assignment of bill rates for new timekeepers, assists the billing department with timekeeper bill rate schedules, volume based discounting notification, accrual reporting and all ad-hoc client financial requests.

Acts as an intermediary between the Firms' billing department and the Firms' clients. This interaction includes but is not limited to setting up bill rates for timekeepers in their respective e-billing systems, client inquiries for bill rate justification and general support.

Assists department with custom reporting requests and ad hoc data pulls to the Business Development, Marketing, Billing, ProBono, Business Operations, Diversity and Inclusion and Industry teams.

Assist the department with weekly, monthly and quarterly accrual requests.

Handles special requests from the Client Analysis Bill Rate team inbox. This includes but is not limited to bill rate inquires, bill rate schedules and all ad-hoc analysis.

Develop financial and business analyses using Qlik, MS Access, MS Excel, and other financial software.

Create financial and statistical models and other tools to enhance and streamline reporting processes.

Contribute to the annual budget preparation and subsequent quarterly variance reporting and analysis.

Assist with matter budget development, pricing support, and performance analysis.

Provide support for special projects and initiatives at the request of Practice leadership.

Support Firm management, attorneys, and other administrative groups by providing legal industry practice intelligence, communicating key performance drivers and impact to the relationship, and conducting internal data analysis to align firm goals, enhance client service, and realize pricing objectives.

Execute on a robust approach and framework for the Firm's strategic pricing and matter budgeting practices/methodologies.

Assess data from various sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends.

Collaborate with the Firm's leadership on growing revenue, profitability, market share, and other business targets.

Advise on fee analysis, structure, and agreement on the Firm's largest and most important client relationships and matter arrangements.

Develop economic models to assess the profitability of new business proposals and assist in drafting creative, workable pricing solutions in response to client pricing demands, including AFAs.

Interface with client procurement and legal operation teams to establish relationships while promoting a strategic partnership.

Partner with Business Development & Marketing team in drafting the financial and pricing responses to client RFP submissions.

Monitor pricing trends and proactively provide business interpretation and analysis of data to firm management.

RFP Responses

Gathers financial data for inclusion on RFP for clients.

Assists Manager of Client Pricing & Analysis to compile responses and communicate with the Marketing team.

Departmental Responsibilities

Handles the majority of special requests from the Client Analysis Bill Rate team inbox. This includes but is not limited to bill rate inquires, bill rate schedules and all ad-hoc analysis.

Assists with data verification of daily NBI reques s and matter management entries and matter management reporting.

Experience and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and five years of experience or, equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and professional publications, prepare business correspondence, proposals and reports, effectively present information to groups of employees, and respond to questions from employees, directors, clients and vendors

Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Proficient in Elite for Windows, CarpeDiem, Informix, ProCube. #LI-TS
