Summary You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will serve as a primary assistant to the Security Manager and is responsible for the administrative support for the Personnel Security Program for the NAVSUP WSS Enterprise. You will compile information for submission to the Security Manager for determination whether clearances should be granted, suspended, revoked or denied as appropriate. You will screen and submit trustworthiness investigations for all government contractors. You will participate in the preparation of the Annual Security Refresher Training Program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Providing security support in a wide range of security functional areas that include information security, physical security, personnel security, industrial security, antiterrorism, and operations security; 2) Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy directives relative to security administration; 3) Providing guidance to personnel on security clearance eligibility and Continuous Evaluation; 4) Assisting with maintenance and processing of security personnel files; 5) Assisting and monitors conferences or meetings where classified material will be discussed; 6) Assisting in administering elements of the security education program.
