POSITION SUMMARY
The Retirement Plan Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This position will be responsible for working with clients to transition them onto the CORE system, ensuring the system is set up to meet the client’s needs and then continuing to provide ongoing support to the client. This position will be evaluated on the ability to meet superior service goals as defined by management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete understanding the individual client payroll requirements and turnaround time.
Reconcile the file received to what is loaded to the Recordkeeper ensuring everything is balanced
Support incoming client emails and calls regarding payroll questions ensure quick and accurate responses are provided
Perform other activities related to the payroll process including audit or error reviews
Collaborate with internal and external departments in aligning and implementing sophisticated payroll experience
Maintain knowledge of the system, documenting and updating procedures
Communicate significant issues and exceptions to an appropriate higher level of authority within the organization in a timely manner
Other duties assigned by management
BASIC/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree or relative work experience
Minimum 2 years payroll experience
Strong background in customer service
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
Demonstrated ability to ensure confidentiality of data
Possess excellent written and verbal communication
Team player, willing to help out where needed
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
Strong time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple clients
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Proficient in an environment in which businesses processes, tools, etc. are still being defined
Ability to work extended hours
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of retirement plan regulations
Knowledge of tax deposit and filing requirements
Understanding of in-house and third party payroll service delivery models
Prior payroll implementation experience
Experience with Salesforce
