The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of development of novel metabolic imaging techniques including multinuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy methods and their applications to human studies and in preclinical studies at high field is particularly desirable. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent and/or collaborative research program, participate in training graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and collaborate in multidisciplinary research developing novel molecular imaging techniques based on MRI and MRS and their clinical and preclinical applications to diagnosis, evaluation of disease mechanisms and treatment assessment in different pathological conditions including neurological, psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.
The desired applicant will have at least 4 to 5 years of postdoctoral experience and a strong peer-reviewed publication track record in MRI and MRS or related fields.
