The Wistar Institute of Anatomy & Biology Research & Administrative Services - Administrative Coordinator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Wistar Institute has an opening for an Administrative Coordinator. This individual will provide comprehensive administrative support for scientific meeting series and program initiatives at the Institute. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish annual schedules and timelines for various scientific meetings series and Cancer Center program meetings.
  • Coordinate with visiting speakers inclusive of booking travel, and processing reimbursements and honorariums.
  • Coordinate with faculty meeting series managers and hosts on building agendas and other logistical details.  
  • Manage meeting invitations and promotions.
  • Coordinate with General Services on rooms reservations, catering and audio visual.
  • Provide additional support to Cancer Center Administration and faculty as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent word processing and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database management required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure required. The Ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of administrative experience. Experience with meeting coordination is preferred.
