Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Job Description/Essential Functions:

Horizon House, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania's oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout South and North Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population focusing on individual strength and choice. Currently, we are seeking a full time Psychiatric Nurse Supervisor to work in our Behavioral Health Services Division.

Purpose: * To provide and assist team members in coordinating the behavioral and physical health care needs of program participants. To provide supervision to LPN/RN nursing staff.

Supervision Received: * Receives general direction from the Director.

Supervision Exercised: * Provide supervision to RTFA nursing staff.

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications: * Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania. * Prior experience working in community mental health and/or substance abuse treatment settings. * Prior supervisory experience preferred. * Knowledge of psychiatric clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation practices. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. * Good written and computer skills are required. * Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytic skills required. * Team oriented. * Must be available for scheduled emergency on-call service. * Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Scope: * Frequent talking and listening. * Must be available for local travel. * Scheduling flexibility and possible on-call work are necessary. * May require crisis intervention in emergency situations, including managing aggressions.
