  1.  Summary of Position: Leonardo is searching for a candidate who is motivated and has an eye for detail. We are in need of a candidate with the extraordinary ability of abstract, logical and analytical thinking, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people. A Production Quality Improvement Specialist is in charge of collaborating with inter-company and vendor suppliers regarding notice of escapes, defect investigations, and product quality as well as special processes. Other duties include developing and executing training and/or coaching programs for quality process operators. This position comes with a great deal of responsibility. You will need to be available to work full-time as well as be able to navigate throughout the entire production facility. Understand, analyze, and interpret special processes, specifications, and procedures necessary to demonstrate suppliers accurate and/or equivalent execution of uninspectable processes.

Develop, execute, and monitor training programs to support group, department, and business growth through process implementation and integration.

Navigate through company databases to assess impact and applicability of supplier notice of escapes and coordinate the execution of containment and recovery actions.

Effectively communicate and collaborate with personnel, supervisors, and managers from engineering, quality control, quality assurance, operations, supply chain, warehouse, and procurement to develop and execute root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

Create, review, and distribute metrics utilizing analytical processes that can be used to monitor and justify group and department decisions.

Qualifications for Position: A. Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline required, with a focus on process improvement preferred.

B. Experience 3+ years in aviation quality, production, or manufacturing environment preferred

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus

Hands-on aircraft experience is a plus.

Agusta products experience is a plus.

C. Competencies & Attributes Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint for creating and analyzing documents, presentations, and training materials.

Must be highly organized, self-starting, and capable of managing strict and challenging time demands.

The ability to effectively communicate complex processes to a diverse audience, both verbally and in writing.

D. Licensure/Certification Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (or greater) will be considered a plus.
