Job Summary The Department of Physics at Drexel University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a projected start state in the fall of 2025. The successful candidate will work in the Quantum Condensed Matter Theory group of Prof. Jorn Venderbos, focused on research areas which include-but are not limited to-topological quantum materials, 2D materials and heterostructures, strongly correlated electron systems, complex electronic ordering phenomena, and unconventional superconductors. A close collaboration with experimental research groups both in the Physics Department and the Department of Materials Science & Engineering is anticipated. Essential Functions Conduct independent research. Write and publish manuscripts in top-tier pier-reviewed journals. Present at conferences and workshops. Interact with collaborating groups, in particular experimental groups Other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum of a PhD in Theoretical Physics or a related field Preferred Qualifications PhD with primary focus on Quantum Condensed Matter Physics. Location University City, Philadelphia, PA Additional Information This position is classified as Exempt with a grade of I, [$41,120 - $ 61,680 ]. The offered salary is dependent upon internal equity and the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience.
