AECOM Planning Intern in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a full-time planning intern for the Summer of 2022. The intern will work under the direction of transportation, environmental planning, and communications staff to support planning projects.

Responsibilities could include :

  • Assisting with report writing and setup

  • Research into environmental resources, permitting, or regulations

  • Support for in-person or virtual public outreach, including venue selection, minutes, and preparation of public-facing communications

  • Preparation of GIS mapping

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Data management

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Science, or other related discipline

  • Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting

  • Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and the NEPA process

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS
