Trinity Health Part Time LPN in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, utilize the nursing process to practice the role of licensed practical nurse in accordance with the Mission and Values and Policies of Nazareth Hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Education and Training

Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.

Completed acceptable Pharmacology and IV therapy course.

Certification and Licensure

• Current Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License.

• Proof of State Board of Nursing approve curriculum/course in Intravenous insertion and IV medication.

• Current BCLS.

Skills

• Verbal ability to understand patient's charts, doctor's orders, nursing care plan and medication and to communicate with patient and staff.

• Ability to organize and manage time.

• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, staff and others.

• Total body motor coordination and manual dexterity (to move and use hands easily and skillfully while caring for patients) are required to facilitate the performance of assigned responsibilities.

Experience - One (1) year experience as a LPN in a skilled Nursing Unit
