Noblis Navigation Critical Data Systems (NCDS) In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking a Navigation Electronics Trainer/Technician. Specifically, the candidate will be serving as a Navigation Critical Data Systems for U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs. You will provide engineering and technical assistance support at Norfolk, VA.

The Electronics Technician/Traineris a full-time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work for ships located in Norfolk, VA. This is a ship-board training and technician position in fleet concentration areas.

  • Complete Shipboard Operability Verification Tests for Navigation Critical Data Systems and Situational Awareness Bridge Systems.

  • Assess proper integration with navigation and steering peripheral equipment such as Hydraulic Power Units, and or RADARs.

  • Travel to fleet concentration areas to facilitate technical installations, training, and or repairs. Up to 25%, passport or the ability to obtain a passport.

  • Facilitate crew upgrade training as it pertains to new system installation and operation.

  • Provide subject matter expertise at status meetings.

  • Complete assigned tasking with minimal to no supervision.

  • Facilitate fleet implementation and fielding plans.

  • Develop and execute test plans.

  • Provide feedback and lessons learned for test plans and technical documentation.

This position will facilitate the training of shipboard personnel, testing and troubleshooting of NCDS/SABDS and leading technical refreshes of existing systems. This is a long-term contract.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field and three (3) years minimum technical experience in architecting and designing electrical to mechanical systems or a minimum of eight years of related experience such as active military service as an ET, ETV or FC.

  • Troubleshooting of lab and system hardware.

  • Additional electronics technician related experience may also be considered.

  • Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of network related electronic system concepts.

  • 9502 NEC preferred.

  • Navigation Subject Matter Expert Preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic project management principles to include but not limited to planning, organizing, directing and controlling organizational resources in order to meet goals and objectives.

  • Experienced in specific to Naval maintenance and upkeep processes is a plus.

  • Ability to interact with multiple Navy activities and effectively communicate technical information with all levels of personnel both military and civilian.

  • Knowledge of Ethernet networking.

  • General Windows OS experience (Install/Configure/Troubleshoot).

  • Proficient in using MS Office products.

  • Excellent communications skills a must.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

USD $61,600.00 - USD $96,250.00 /Yr.
