Responsibilities

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for directing the overall service functions of the Central Supply Department and Materials Management within the Operating Room Suite. Must be able to move throughout the facility. Must understand written data and be able to write alpha and numeric data accurately. He/she will be responsible for the procurement of supplies, stock and non-stock, service agreements and minor equipment acquisitions. He/she will utilize contracts for stock and non-stock compliance while controlling inventory levels and accuracy with MMIS. Must be able to direct department, including assessing priorities and directing staff. Ability to communicate with neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adult, middle adult to geriatrics.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Central Supply Certified, preferred.
  2. Knowledge of decontaminations and sterilization techniques and procedures.
  3. 2 years' experience CS Tech in acute care hospital.
