U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Locksmith for our Philadelphia, PA location. The locksmith is responsible for the operation, replacement, repair and maintenance of standard, high security correctional lock systems, standard hardware, furniture, glass, movable partitions, wall systems, ceiling systems and floor systems. Will also be responsible for the replacement and maintenance of the electronic security locking system. Receive and respond to service calls. Take immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns. Completes routine and preventive maintenance programs. May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES: Works with other staff as assigned or independently Reports to PM, APM or Shift Supervisor for material list and timelines for the completion of a project. Repair or restore damaged signage. Provide routine, preventive and emergency maintenance and repair including non-electric security locks, hardware, glass, walls, doors, ceilings etc. Monitor and approve contractor's work. Works in different building locations. Maintains key machine and supplies. Maintains full key control. On call by phone with a required 2-hour response time. Familiar with large building systems, familiarity with prisons. Knowledge of building codes and regulations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/BASICQUALIFICATIONS Basic literacy and the strength and dexterity required to perform heavy lifting tasks. High School Diplomas, GED or Trade School Must provide own basic hand tools and test equipment Capable of reading drawings and layouts Must be able to read and speak English clearly Valid Driver's license Able to climb ladders and walk long distances. Able to pass Background Investigation without Criminal history. Must be able to pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Testing. Must be able to work overtime when required. Must be able to work in all climate conditions. Will be working in a Correctional environment, which is a 24/7 operation. Shifts to be assigned. Shifts may include multiple schedules.
