What you'll be doing... The Verizon Business Group Strategy team holds a key role in helping shape this new path. You will serve as internal consultant/advisor to the business unit and functional group leadership on a range of projects from definition and articulation of business strategy to design and execution of new growth opportunities. Within the Verizon Business Group Strategy team, you will role-model the Verizon ways of working that builds on customer centricity, collaboration and innovation to drive positive change.

As a key member of the VBG Strategy team's Analytics Center of Excellence, you will have the opportunity to work on data driven and analytically consultative requests coming from all corners of the organization from Global Enterprise, to Business Markets, to Product, and more! Your job will be to support these strategy managers across our organization in the development of their strategic recommendations when it comes to everything from data sourcing to analytical modelling to advising on their analytical work products.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders & business leaders on cross-functional growth initiatives that require an analytical expertise and/or an analytical solution.

Crafting and delivering actionable recommendations through data-driven analysis and visualization in support of VBG Strategy team initiatives for executive decision making.

Leading analysis and solution development of key business challenges to drive new growth and value opportunities across a swiftly dynamic and innovative business environment.

Leveraging critical thinking and sharp problem solving skills (e.g., data-backed analysis, data science tools, valuation methods, hypothesis-driven approach, research and strategy frameworks) to support the design and execution of new solutions.

Developing new capabilities and enhance critical business processes with advanced analytics and visualization capabilities to drive new growth opportunities and value creation.

Collaborating with data engineers and developers across our global technology services teams to build analytics solutions focused on value drivers and stakeholder experience.

Contributing to a high-performing team of problem solvers from various disciplines who are committed to driving profitable growth and innovation that ensures customer success. What we're looking for... You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Experience using at least one of the following: statistical computer languages (R, Python SQL, etc.) and/or tools (Tableau, Alteryx, PowerPivot, etc.). Even better if you have one or more of the following:

MBA or advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Analytics.

Two or more years of experience in a strategy or quantitative/technical role (e.g., data science, applied analytics, mathematics, engineering, etc.) for a tier 1 management consulting firm.

Experience with business problem definition, insight synthesis, and executive communication.

Strong understanding of advanced statistical methods (e.g., regression; classification algorithms; gradient boosted ensembles, etc.) and experience in data analytics platforms and visualization software t ols.

Ability to translate complex ideas and express them in concise, simple to understand ways.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously work on multiple projects.

Comfortable working across all levels of an organization, leveraging organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and time-management skills.

Where you'll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $104,000.00 and $193,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
