Job Summary The Fulbright Activities Assistant is often the first point of contact for program participants. The assistant is responsible for getting to know the participants as well as possibly, anticipating and responding to their academic and personal needs. Essential Functions Assist with participant arrival and departure; and other transportation coordination. Communicating with Fulbright scholars before their arrival and post departure to share information and collect data as necessary. Assisting with all aspects of event planning and orientation including execution, campus tours, and other associated events. Attending all program functions such as receptions, culture fairs, excursions, and workshops. Assisting participants with unforeseen emergencies such as accompanying them to student health or an emergency room or to the airport for clarification of paperwork. Familiarizing participants with academic resources on campus and points of personal or recreational interest in Philadelphia. Serving as a mentor, including answering questions about the American higher education system and campus life. Communicating with faculty, lead coordinator, and other administrators to share information as necessary. Performing any other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of a Highschool Diploma or GED Any Communication or a related degree.
