Watershed Security Information Systems Security Specialist II in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's information systems

  • You will work closely with our IT and security teams to identify potential vulnerabilities, develop security protocols, and implement necessary measures to safeguard our systems and data

     

  • The successful candidate will work directly with our government client and lead team members to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect our information systems and data

  • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps and recommend corrective actions

  • Monitor network traffic and system logs for any suspicious activities or potential security breaches

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security measures in all stages of system development

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, investigate and mitigate security breaches, and develop incident response protocols

  • Stay informed about the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, and make recommendations for improvement

  • Conduct security awareness training programs to educate employees on security principles, policies, and procedures

  • Work closely with external vendors and partners to ensure the secure exchange of information and adherence to security standards

  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of any security-related incidents or violations

  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 3+ years of practical experience in any Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Engineering (T&E), or A&A related field

  • 3+ concurrent years of experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirement Guides (SRGs)

  • Practical experience using the following Information Assurance tools:

  • DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university in Computer Science or any technical information technology field

  • CompTIA Security+ CE

  • Requires a Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship

    Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:

  • Attending mandatory, annual training sessions

  • Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations

  • Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination

  • Attending recurring team meetings or huddles

  • Assisting in the development of new initiatives
