The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents and fellows, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include responsibilities in outpatient and inpatient clinical care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR) that specializes in IBD, motility/physiology, Hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include opportunities to participate in clinical research in their field, as well as collaboration with members of labs in their research and give their contributions. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
Applicants will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Selected candidates will join a highly interactive and exciting multidisciplinary academic and clinical environment at the University of Pennsylvania as an integral member of the Division of Gastroenterology and will have opportunities to teach in the GI fellowship and internal medicine residency programs at the Perelman School of Medicine.
