Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00 Hourly
Environmental Engineering or Science Graduate
Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals in the Philadelphia area to join the Environmental Services Department as an Environmental Engineering or Science Graduate. This position will consist of approximately 70% office work and 30% fieldwork.
Responsibilities Office activities include: * Analysis and interpretations of field results, write environmental reports, and prepare environmental permit applications. * Attend meetings and communicate with clients and contractors all under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Field activities include: * Oversight of groundwater monitoring well installations and soil borings, build material surveys, collection of soil, groundwater, vapor, surface water and asbestos samples. * Additional tasks include natural environment assessments (wetlands, species habitats).
Requirements : * Bachelor's degree in environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related field. * 0-5 years of environmental experience. * EIT or GIT preferred. * OSHAL HAZWOPER 40-hour certification preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Proficient in Microsoft office. * Experience with AutoCAD is preferred. * Must have valid driver's license. * Occasional evening or weekend work. * Must be able to carry equipment and laboratory sampling coolers and occasionally installing soil borings with hand augers.
