DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Role description: Arcadis is currently seeking a highly motivated entry-level Distribution Engineer to join the Power Delivery team anywhere in the United States.

As part of the Power Delivery team, you will help improve quality of life. 

Role accountabilities: This is an entry level Distribution Engineering position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position involves coordinating the power delivery distribution engineering team and performing hands-on engineering, detailed design, and studies for utility clients in North America. The successful candidate will also work closely with senior and/or lead distribution engineers within the Power Delivery group.

As the successful candidate, you will: * Support developing and delivering distribution engineering and design packages for multiple projects from 4kV up to 69kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind.  * Work under direct mentorship of Sr. and/or Lead engineer in design preparing distribution engineering and design packages including but not limited to -- plan and profile, plot drawings, GIS mapping, Pole selection and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement and construction documents * Contribute to preparing and developing Engineering Calculations, Equipment Specification, Bid evaluation and proposal support  * Help support project planning, environmental permitting, and construction management * Maintain close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities. * We are seeking an individual with a strong team player mindset and excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate effectively with colleagues.  Additionally, this position may involve travel of up to 25% to client sites and customer meetings, both within North America and potentially internationally.

Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering * 0-1 year of Substation engineering and design experience; US Power electric utility is a plus

Preferred Qualifications * 0-1 year of Distribution engineering and design experience; US Power electric utility is a plus * Basic understanding of Distribution Power lines and Pole design  * Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation; PoleForeman or PLS-CADD is a plus * Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE

The salary range for this position is $52,000- $89,700.
