Job Description
The Director, Inclusive Sourcing is accountable for working with multiple lines of business, corporate functional teams, and our Supply Chain and GPO teams to implement strategies that embed inclusive sourcing aka supplier diversity practices and resources across our organization.
This role will be responsible for design and ongoing implementation of strategic-level inclusive sourcing program elements. The role is expected to build strong relationships externally and internally across Global Supply Chain, Procurement, GPO partnerships and other functional group stakeholders that support enterprise efforts in building industry leading Inclusive Sourcing initiatives. The Director is also responsible for leading program expansion and continuous improvement to align with client aspirations and corporate targets throughout Aramark and Avendra GPO, as applicable. The director will have a manager direct report.
This position is based in Philadelphia, PA and reports to the VP, Responsible Sourcing, Global supply Chain & GPO.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities of the Director, Inclusive Sourcing include:
Ability to evaluate small and diverse owned businesses against Aramark and Avendra clients Supply Chain standards and processes. Understand supplier viability and market competitiveness to be able to provide sourcing recommendations.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across our business functions to develop and implement systems, policies, procedures, and practices to manage contracts and communication process related to suppliers identified as small or diverse owned.
Support Sales team RFP response and retention efforts related to Inclusive Sourcing / Supplier Diversity inquiries. Participate in regional business unit meetings and sales presentations as required.
Job Responsibilities
Maintains awareness and macro-overview of legislations, certifying agencies, and economic impact trends aligned with small business and supplier diversity matters.
Build and execute strategy for active engagement with Supplier Diversity advocacy groups like WBENC, NMSDC, NGLCC, WEConnect International and Disability:IN..
Foster relationships with diverse and non-diverse suppliers that can support Aramark?s business needs in inclusive sourcing and overall corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies and tactics to increase spend with diverse suppliers on a multi-tier basis; Identify qualified diverse suppliers that can be leveraged in Aramark?s and Avendra?s supply base; partner with procurement and stakeholders to identify opportunities to expand spend and relationships with diverse suppliers.
Leads training and resource development for Supplier Diversity, leveraging both internal and external best practices.
Partner with Aramark DEI, Community Relations and Sustainability groups to participate in external benchmark surveys that augment brand awareness.
Leads the development and monitor processes to track supply chain inclusion efforts and outcomes. Align within Global Procurement on spend and inclusion targets. Oversight of data-driven reporting on inclusive sourcing / supplier diversity metrics and use to build future supplier DEI strategies.
Leads the development of annual objectives and goals specific to inclusive sourcing / Supplier Diversity. Ensure proper processes and tools are in place to support the attainment of goals.
Provide guidance as subject matter expert in inclusive sourcing / supplier diversity matters along with VP.
Manage in partnership with Responsible Sourcing Project Manager and Inclusive Sourcing Manager third-party data enrichment provider relationships, that support inclusive sourcing / supplier diversity analytics, sourcing commitments and engagement activities.
Represent the company in external events, conferences, and industry meetings upon request.
Works with our legal department to update policies and guidelines that provide guidance specific to inclusive sourcing practices and related external communications.
Leads the creation of Inclusive Sourcing / Supplier Diversity content, partners with DEI, sustainability, and the community relations teams to inform annual ESG reporting and client inquiries.
Manages, in partnership with the Responsible Souring Project Manager, and Inclusive Sourcing Manager our customer intake process measuring our business impact, tracking volume, and prioritizing all internal requests against our Inclusive Sourcing / Supplier Diversity priorities. Provides oversight and management of the Responsible Sourcing Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field; inclusive sourcing / supplier diversity program development experience and / or certification preferred.
Strong knowledge and experience with emerging inclusive sourcing / supplier diversity topics.
Must have experience in conducting comprehensive supplier analysis and screening, analyzing supplier proposals and using decision-making tools/models, including financial and non-financial criteria, to support negotiations and facilitate award recommendations.
Accomplished in working within a matrix environment, build strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships.
Knowledge of and experience with social and environmental matters, understands business and operations of large food, facilities and uniform company.

Travel:
- Must be willing to travel approximately 10% - 15% of her/his time.
