U.S. Mint Die Finishing Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Summary This position is located at the Philadelphia Mint Manufacturing Directorate, Die Manufacturing Division. The incumbent sets up, operates, and maintains a number of automated machine tools to auto-polish dies in the production of proof coins. Responsibilities As a/an Die Finishing Specialist, you will: operate and maintain a number of automated machine tools to auto-polish dies in the production of proof coins perform laser frosting operations and coating operations using the Particle Vapor Deposition (PVD) process perform automated and manual die finishing work for the production of proof coins. Requirements Conditions of Employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. A one year probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
