Program Overview

The Comcast internship/co-op program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network.

This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Organization & Team Overview

The Digital Experiences and Platforms (DXP) team is responsible for the digital experiences that help Xfinity customers purchase, use and manage their services. Spanning both our sales and service customer experiences, the DXP team is focused on helping Comcast grow and retain our customer base with intelligent, personalized, and relevant digital experiences.

The Marketing, Merchandising and Search team is responsible for the management and growth of Xfinity.com. This team leads all online merchandising and sales as well as brand, product, and promotional marketing across our consumer services portfolio (home internet, entertainment, mobile, and home services). Our teams focus on attracting new customers to Xfinity, while also educating customers on the benefits of their existing services while encouraging and offering new and differentiated offerings to our customer base.

Role Description

Are you looking to build experience in digital commerce with major name in communications and entertainment? As an intern on the marketing, merchandising, and search team, you’ll help craft strategies and deliver campaigns that help convince our prospective customers to choose Xfinity, and help our existing customers get the most out of their services and relationship with Xfinity. You’ll get the chance to help bring our quarterly sales and marketing plan to life, collaborating with product, design and marketing growth strategy teams to build and execute an effective sales and retention strategy. You’ll also get to work with our brand and media teams to help bring our brand to life on Xfinity.com.

What are some interesting problems the student will work on?

In this role, you’ll gain exposure to the day-to-day processes that make a major brand’s website work. You’ll have the chance to partner with marketing and growth teams to develop and deliver online sales and marketing campaigns. Interns have the chance to build industry knowledge through competitive research and gain experience identifying opportunities analyzing the sales and performance of our digital properties.

Xfinity.com is the front door for both new and existing customers to engage with our brand and learn about our products and services. Successful candidates will be able to help us increase our speed to market and continue to respond to the ever-changing consumer communications and entertainment competitive landscape.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with merchandising and marketing staff in developing campaign briefs and executing on-site marketing campaigns

  • Collaborating with product teams to understand product roadmaps, features and marketing reasons to believe

  • Engaging with brand, marketing, design and media teams to ensure we deliver a consistent brand and message

  • Analyzing website performance data to identify opportunities to create better sales and marketing experiences

  • Assisting in researching and documenting competitor experiences and offers to determine competitive response plans

  • Conducting quality testing and due diligence to assure accuracy

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity or interest in the consumer telecommunications and entertainment space, media, or marketing

  • Experience building content for websites, apps or social media

  • Prior exposure in sales and marketing

  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools

  • Preferred Majors: Marketing, Business Management, Telecommunications, Information Technology

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:

Base Pay: $23.00
