The Perelman Center is looking for a Full-Time Clinical Coordinator RN

Location: 3400 Civic Center Blvd.

Schedule: M-F

Department: MED CLINICAL

Summary:

The responsibilities of this position include coordination of all operational activities within and operating room setting including, but not limited to, the development and management of all aspects of patient care, utilization of departmental personnel, fiscal responsibility and material resources. This role will establish oneself as the leader as it relates to patients, families, staff and physicians within the domains of clinical judgment, communication, quality, performance improvement and fiscal management.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in clinical care as necessary.

  • Assumes overall accountability for their area of responsibility. Delegate’s responsibility to others, in their absence.

  • Maintains positive and effective interpersonal relations with all members of the ISC and perioperative teams including but not limited to all levels of physician surgical staff, ancillary departments, hospital/facility administration and all ancillary departments.

  • Exhibits leadership qualities in problem solving, setting priorities and clinical excellence.

  • Collaborates with ISC and Periop leadership and provides tangible feedback concerning staff performance.

  • Supports the shared governance model.

  • Designs and implements actions to maintain fiscal responsibility of their clinical area of responsibility and the overall Operating Room operation.

  • Is proactive to assure all required items (implants and supplies) are in place prior to the scheduled operative case.

  • Identifies scheduling conflicts and resolves proactively.

  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Credentials:

  • Graduate of an NLN approved school of professional nursing (Required)

  • licensed as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Required)

  • BLS (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (Required)

  • CARP level II or equivalent years of experience required. (Required)
