General summary & overall challenges

The Clinical Application Specialist provides vital training and education to customers in the Pre-analytical, Analytical and Post-analytical operation of their instruments.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide sophisticated training product workshops in assigned region through continued education to Radiometer customers

  • Effectively respond to customer needs concerning clinical questions or problems.

  • Establish a routine and continual follow up for current and prospective customers to ensure satisfaction with Radiometer products.

  • Collaborate on installations and demonstrations as needed to support Sales and Information Technology Solutions (ITS) team.

  • Perform various responsibilities under the direction of the Clinical Applications Leader and Regional Sales Manager.

Requirements for this position

a) Position Specific Proficiencies / Experience

  • 3 years of demonstrated ability in: hospital or research experience with medical capital equipment, laboratory, or similar clinical background. Experience in blood gas analysis, Immunoassay, and hospital data management systems preferred.

  • Respiratory, Inside or Outside Sales experience preferred

b) Education

  • B.S. or A.S. degree, preferred in Medical Technology or Respiratory Therapy or Clinical/Biomedical

c) Language

  • Primary language is English

d) Office Technology

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge in Microsoft CRM preferred.

e) Travel

  • Up to 75% travel overnight

f) Non-Standard Benefits

  • Participation in the Company’s automobile program is a requirement of this position. You will receive a company car to conduct company business in accordance with the program provided that you meet the eligibility requirements of the program.

  • Provided a company mobile phone

g) Other

  • Proficiency in organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects with critical timing needs.

  • Ability to lift or maneuver 40 lbs.

  • Strong interpersonal communication that is timely and accurate with upper management and internal departments such as Field Service, Customer Service, Finance, Bids and Contracts, HR, IT.

  • Must build and maintain positive relationships with customers and key buyer/influencers.
