We are seeking a Client Development Manager as an entry-level inside sales professional to focus on initial sales activities: lead generation, marketing campaigns, account research, and initial outreach. The ideal candidate will be able to create, leverage, and enable more client-facing time by our strongest producers. They will be a team player, highly collaborative, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to roll up their sleeves while they learn our business.


  • Demonstrates integrity and respect for people and opinions

  • Being tied to a market/region/enterprise goal or a given Client Development/Business Development team’s revenue target to ensure consistent and agile support throughout the year

  • Attending any client meeting(s) they set with their Client Development Individual partner to enable career progression and sales development

  • Primarily focusing in RGP’s major existing accounts in a given territory or market, but may also be exposed to newer accounts based on business needs

  • Strong personal identification with RGP’s values – loyalty, integrity, focus, enthusiasm, accountability and talent


  • Focus on building out relationships with larger and/or key accounts with $3M+ annual potential

  • Larger accounts that need additional administrative and/or prospecting bandwidth due to constraints

  • High accounts based on business activity and engagement types (transaction, transformation, etc.)

  • Support Market Leader in non-client facing sales activities such as marketing campaigns and collateral, sales team meeting preparation, reporting, and developing presentations.

  • Support multiple high revenue generating Directors and Vice Presidents of Client Development by offloading administrative and early-stage sales related tasks for revenue accelerating purposes.

  • Manage a total budget of $1M between all Client Development Individuals being supported.

  • Take point on Vendor Management System (VMS) administrative work for the market’s key accounts.

  • Support smaller sized accounts that have long-term relationships with Directors to allow for client continuity and additional Director's bandwidth.

  • Research & Planning Objectives:

  • Salesforce Cleanup: Update contacts & reconcile with LinkedIn

  • Lead Generation: Discover Org, Alumni, Execs in Transition, Contacts Moving.

  • Account Research: 10K/10Q review, news alerts, employee movement.

  • Outreach

  • 125+ weekly outreach targeting new contacts in existing accounts.

  • Launch, manage, and track sales campaigns.

  • Meetings/Opportunities

  • Set 5+ client meetings per week.

  • Attend with Director or Vice President of Client Development, prepare the Business Development collateral, support the Director or Vice President of Client Development and create the subsequent opportunity and information in Salesforce.

  • Revenue/In-Flight Engagement

  • Support consultant management and business development by coordinating consultant prep team updates, happy hours and bi-monthly onsite visits


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required and/or previous sales experience

  • 1-3 years of experience; strong interest in professional services and solution selling

  • Aptitude to dig into the data and gain insights that drive business opportunities

  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit

  • Excellent at relationship management with high emotional intelligence and the ability to engage people

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations

  • Sense of urgency to create and achieve high performance goals

  • An aptitude for identifying opportunities and establishing and advancing a sales pipeline

  • Willingness to be a team player, supporting multiple individuals with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
