EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or GED Required (Associates Degree Preferred) EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Previous retail experience is highly recommended. Experience in working in retail, providing customer service. Knowledgeable of retail operations including, but not limited to, sales transaction processing, merchandising, customer problem solving, providing excellent customer service, working as a team member. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Sales Clerk position is responsible for maintaining the course materials departments within the store. This includes, but is not limited to art and architecture materials, office supplies, and course materials. The Sales Clerk will provide excellent customer service to our students, faculty and staff. They will work closely with our student customers to ensure they are receiving the correct merchandise for their syllabus. The Sales Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely receiving of merchandise delivered to the Campus Store. The Sales Associate also works closely with the Director to ensure Apple sales are processed correctly and shipped to appropriate Departments within the Jefferson Enterprise. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide excellent customer service to our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Maintains the course materials departments. Processes customer transactions at the register. Works closely with Director on product selection, merchandising sales floor, and replenishment. Interacts with students, co-workers, visitors, and other individuals consistent with the values of Jefferson.
