Confidential Employer Art and Fashion Gallery Associate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As an art and fashion gallery associate, you will contribute to a warm, friendly and inclusive environment that inspires and makes our customers feel welcome. The goal is to grow the business by genuinely wanting to create an outstanding customer experience. The position involves direct selling to the public, assisting the gallery owner, inventory, retail displays, shipping, and other associated tasks. You will have a thorough understanding of our designers, artists, and brands. You will help create aspirational and on trend looks that enhance the customer\'s emotional connection to the gallery. You will also arrange shows and collabs, participate in events and activities, identify client needs and present and answer questions about the gallery with a positive outlook.

 

Candidates with a strong affinity for contemporary art and fashion and excellent communication skills will stand out. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and help ensure the gallery maintains its reputation and financial performance. A background in art, fashion, or sales, and familiarity with inventory management is essential. Some weekend and evening hours will be required. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

 

Proven work experience as a Retail Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role

Understanding of the sales process

Knowledge of inventory procedures

Photoshop experience preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite

Social Media marketing

Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships

Bachelor degree in fashion or art preferred

 

Responsibilities

 

Artist and client care and communication

Assisting Gallery Owner in daily gallery operations

Inventory management

Sales tracking and invoicing

Restocking and display

Product photography and editing

Social Media

 

Other

  • wages per hour + commission after 90 days probationary period
