University of Pennsylvania Academic Clinician Faculty Position - Benign Hematology/Junior rank in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of of non-malignant hematology. Applicants must demonstrate excellent qualifications in education, and clinical care in this area. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in hematology is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching hematology-oncology fellows, medical residents and medical students. The successful candidates will have clinical and teaching experience in the area of non-malignant hematology. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with disorders of hemostatis and thrombosis, and general benign hematologic conditions. Participation in clinical trials is an important part of this role.
